Please join the Grassroots Education Project on Monday, January 18 as we work together on a number of service projects at HD Cooke Elementary.

Projects will include:

Classrooms
- filing paperwork
- assisting teachers with special projects
- straightening up classrooms

Facility Upgrades
- wiping down walls
- assisting the custodial staff with special projects

Community Outreach
- going door-to-door signing up local volunteers for the school

We hope you'll be able to join us for this day, which is part of an ongoing effort at HD Cooke Elementary.

Additionally, we invite you to contribute to our school uniform donation drive.

Uniform donations: While uniforms are mandatory at HD Cooke, as they are at nearly all schools in DC, many families struggle with the cost of purchasing them. We're collecting Old Navy gift cards on behalf of the school so they can support families in need of financial assistance. Gift cards can be purchased online at Old Navy or Amazon, or in-person at Target or other retailers. Cards with a value of $25 or greater are welcomed.
